Sue's Burger and Shakes

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We offer the option to swap our standard milk bun out for a “gluten-free” (gluten friendly) bun that, to the best of our knowledge, has no gluten present. Please note due to glutinous products being present in our kitchen, bun toasters and prep surfaces, cross contamination is possible.

BEEF: There are no additives, fillers or bread crumbs in our custom patty blend making our beef burger options gluten friendly!

FRIED CHICKEN BURGERS and BITES: The Southern Fried Chicken Breasts and Bites are dredged in plain flour which means they are NOT gluten friendly. If you are avoiding gluten altogether, ask your server to substitute your fried chicken breast for a grilled chicken breast instead.

Our current burgers that have a GFA (gluten friendly option available) by swapping to a gluten free bun (or bunless) are:

  • Sue’s Classic
  • Sue’s Signature
  • Sue’s Double Trouble

Unfortunately our standard Milk Bun contains dairy, as well as our marinade for our chicken breast and bites.

Our beef burgers (Excluding the Glazy Susan & Mac To The Future) can be altered to be dairy free if you ask for no cheese and swap the bun to a gluten free bun (or opt for a bunless burger).

Our Vegan Signature Sue Burger is also dairy free 🙂

Unfortunately at this point in time we do not have any dairy-free chicken alternatives.

VEGETARIAN:

Our Vegetarian Sue, as well as our Mozzarella sticks and Fries are all vegetarian friendly. Our beef burgers also have the option to swap out our beef patty for a plant-based patty, making them vegetarian friendly (excluding Double Trouble & Glazy Susan)

VEGAN:

Our Vegan Sue is made with a plant-based patty, vegan cheese, vegan aioli and a vegan bun.  Our Fries are also Vegan Friendly!

Yes! We serve a selection of beers, cider and wine!

Sue’s Burgers & Shakes is not independently Halal Certified however our chicken is sourced from a Halal Certified Supplier. As no pork products or utensils are prepared or used in the production of our Fried Chicken Burgers or Southern Fried Chicken Bites (Freaky Fries & Popcorn Chicken Bites) these are what we call Halal Friendly.

Unfortunately our Beef is not Halal Friendly as it is prepared on/with the same utensils as non halal products.

Yes! We are currently live on UberEats. Our own delivery platform will be live soon.

The short answer is no 🙂 Due to the fast casual nature of our restaurants we don’t usually take bookings for groups of under 6. If you arrive and we are at capacity, typically is isn’t a very long turn around until we are able to seat you.

If you’re cutting down on carbs, watching the waist line or just looking for something little bit lighter, try swapping out our burger bun for our “Bunless Option” (Crispy Cos Lettuce Leaves).
